This is especially useful when cranking up the gain or playing at loud volumes on stage, making them ideal for heavy rock and metal.

With a light and resonant poplar body, you can gig for hours without discomfort. Poplar provides a well-rounded, full bodied tone. And its lightness means you won’t break your back when you start rocking out on stage. A 1-piece maple neck gives this bass a snappy attack with plenty of cut to the sound. Graphite reinforcement adds extra strength and rigidity to the neck. Combined with the Jackson’s HiMass bridge you get rock solid stability – even when giving it your all on stage.

A compound radius amaranth fretboard allows for easy playing all the way down the neck. Being rounder at the nut makes powerful riffs easy to play, and by flattening the fretboard out closer towards the heel, shredding solos feel effortless. Combined with a smooth satin finished 1-piece maple neck, you will be able to slide to any of the 24 frets with ease – allowing you to reach your maximum playing potential.
